Jim B Malone, President

 
 

Jim is the son of Jim and Doretta Malone. He joined the company full time in 1980 after receiving his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Arkansas. At UCA Jim was a member of the Phi Sigma Epsilon Fraternity and the UCA Swimming Team. As a freshman Jim was named to the AIC Swimming Team. In 1990 Jim assumed control of the family business and in December 1999 Jim and his wife Louise purchased the business from his parents. His real world experience concerning the management of aquatic vegetation in public waters with triploid grass carp is unparalleled. Jim has served on countless panels concerning triploid grass carp stockings and freely consults on such projects. As a businessman Jim enjoys the highly competitive nature of the aquaculture industry and has developed and operates 3 additional support companies to enhance J.M. Malone and Son, Inc.'s market position within the aquaculture industry.

Jim is a strong advocate of his community and the aquaculture industry and has served as Director of the Lonoke Chamber of Commerce, President of the Lonoke Kiwanis, Chairman of the Lonoke County Ducks Unlimited, Vice Chairman of the Open Arms Shelter for Abused Children, Secretary of the American Fish Farming Federation, Founding Member and Director of the National Aquaculture Association, Member of U.S. Senator Blanche Lincolns Agriculture Advisory Committee, and is a Recipient of the Ducks Unlimited Conservation Service Award. In his spare time Jim enjoys hunting, cooking, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.

 
       
 

Beverly Jones, Office Manager

 
 
Beverly is the daughter of Jim and Doretta Malone. She joined the company in 1987 and has worked in every facet of the fish farm. Today she is responsible for managing the front office, State permitting and coordinating Triploid Grass Carp sales with the testing/certification process.  In her spare time Beverly is very involved with the First Baptist Church of England, Arkansas and keeping up with her husband and two sons.  
       
 

Bobby Glennon, General Manager/Biologist

 

Bobby Glennon  joined the company in1996 working the summer night shift in the Catfish Hatchery. In 1999, after receiving his B.S. in Fisheries Resources, Aquaculture from the University of Idaho, Bobby joined the company full time as hatchery manager. Today he manages the day to day operations of the farm and is responsible for the coordination of fish harvest and sales, fish production, hatchery operations, research and development, and implementing the farm's bio-security plan and bi-annual disease inspection program. His interests include the development of commercially viable methods for the large scale production of all female bass and crappie and partitioned aquaculture systems as a means of water conservation. In his spare time Bobby is the worst fisherman known to man (hence his obsession with fish farming) and enjoys spending time with his wife and new baby girl.

       
 

Kenneth Scott, Farm Manager/Seine Crew Manager

 

Kenneth joined the company in 1977 and has worked in every facet of the fish farm. Today Kenneth serves as farm manager and is responsible for fish harvest and fish feeding. In his spare time Kenneth enjoys cooking and spending time with family.

       
 

Beverly Overturf, Triploid Grass Carp Blood Analysis Lab Supervisor

 

Beverly joined the company in 1993 and supervises the Triploid Grass Carp Blood Analysis Lab. She is responsible for coordinating the day to day activities of the lab and operates the Coulter Counter. In  her spare time Beverly enjoys spending time with her family.

       
 

Joyce Staton, Triploid Grass Carp Blood Analysis Lab Supervisor

 

Joyce joined the company in 1988 and works in the Triploid Grass Carp Blood Analysis Lab. Joyce is responsible for drawing blood samples from the fish, ensuring samples and fish are properly coordinated within the lab and supervising the removal of any diploids identified in the testing process. In her spare time Joyce is very active in her church and enjoys spending time with her family.

       
 

Bennie Jackson, Fish Delivery Specialist

 

Bennie has been hauling live fish since1992 after 17 years with Greyhound. He joined the company in 1998 and delivers the majority of the fish we haul. In his spare time Bennie enjoys hunting and fishing.

       
 

Jake Rice, Live Fish Holding Facility Manager

 

Jake Rice joined the company in 2009. He has a bachelors degree in economics from Davidson College and a masters degree in Aquaculture from Auburn University. Jake is responsible for the day to day care of the fish in the holding facility and the coordination/preparation/loading of fish orders for customers. In his spare time Jake enjoys fishing and shooting sports.
